On-line Fleet Risk Assessments for the UK & Worldwide Road Safety - Everyone's Business

ECO Driving Success & Green Fleet Day 17th May 2012

UK Global Road Safety - ECO Driving Success at Green Fleet Arrive 'N' Drive Event - Rockingham 17th May 2012

Members of the UK Global Road Safety Training Team had a succcessful day at the Green Fleet Arrive 'N' Drive show demonstrating that through a short course of ECO Driver coaching impressive fuel savings & associated reductions in CO2 emissions can be achieved.

Throughout the day delegates initially drove Citroen DS3 cars around a public urban route without coaching from  our team, this was then followed by our team coaching the driver through the same route utilising ECO driving techniques.

Working in partnership with TomTom who installed their TomTom Business Solution navigation equipment to allow measurment of vehicle telemetrics including fuel consumption.

Results:
Best mpg throughout the day 94 mpg   ECO Driving Successful Results UK Global Road Safety - Ken Buchanan, Andrew Johnson, David Collins & Ian Littlefield
  Most improved 1st drive 49 mpg, 2nd drive 86 mpg (75% improvement)
Average fuel savings for the day between drives 16.4% improvement

This demonstrates that even when modern ECO efficient vehicles are driven, it can often come down to the knowledge, understanding & ability of the driver to achive these impressive results.

Through ongoing monitoring & targeted training fleets can substantially reduce their fleet fuel bills along with maintenance costs, down time and achieve higher residual value for their vehicles.
